I am a dad, a geek, and a basic guy. Currently I hold a job that is titled Senior Systems Analyst - but that hardly defines what I do to earn money. Oracle, Linux, being an “idea guy” are all things I deal with each day.
I am not a religious person. I have no need for it. I recognize that morality and ethics exist and require no human created intervention to define them. My children will be raised to treat others fairly, kindly, and be hard working. These concepts have existed since the dawn of civilization and not unique to any religion practiced today.
For years, I identified myself as a conservative (and consequently a Republican), but that all change during the tenure of G.W. Bush. I realized that in fact I was not a Republican, but rather was more a Libertarian than anything. I think that gay marriage ought to be recognized, abortions should be kept legal, that we should take a much more isolationist view with global policies, and believe in smaller government and the Fair Tax Act.
I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up.
PS- That’s me with that fish. That was a huge fish.
